Miss Caitlin was born and raised in Lake Jackson, TX. At the age of four, she began taking dance lessons. She took a short break however, wanting to explore all kinds of fine arts activities including art lessons, piano and voice lessons, and musical theater, but then her heart returned to dance at the age of 10. She began taking dance lessons at Dance Moves in Lake Jackson and quickly found her true passion. Caitlin studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and pointe at Dance Moves through High School graduation, and also was a member of the Brazoswood Belles and First Kick Line all 4 years of High School. After graduation, she went on to earn her degree in dance and double minor in business and communications from Texas A&M University. After graduation, she returned home to Lake Jackson to pursue her dream of opening Caitlin Colleen Dance Academy. CCDA opened in 2011 and has been a thriving dance studio ever since- growing strong and beautiful dancers and being that loving home away from home for hundreds of little girls.

A Note from Miss Caitlin: My dance teacher, Miss Shevon, became a huge positive influence and “second mother” to me and the dance studio became my second home. Today, I am passionate about providing children with that same kind of mentorship and family that I was blessed to have growing up. Dance is so much more than just dance steps. A dance studio quickly becomes a family. I pray that every child walking into CCDA for the first time feels that love and joy from Day 1. Whether they dance a year or 15 years with us, we want them to know they are loved and treasured.
